The 200 rounds of American Eagle 223 REM, 55GR FMJ-BT fired through the DSP Armory Minuteman DSP-15 proved to be performance perfection. At just the right height, I was able to pick up a sight picture and ring steel at 100 yards with boringly consistent repetitiveness. 223 Wylde, using the American Defense Manufacturing Quick Release Accessory Mount, it yielded amazing results. With the Vortex Venom Red Dot clamped on the DSP Armory Minuteman DSP-15 in. After a mix of roughly 300 rounds of Aguila 9mm and CCI Blazer, it held zero just as expected having no issues at all. After that, zero was simple, and I was easily reaching out to 75 yards from bench rest and standing. In order to mount it on the SIG Sauer P320 X-Five in 9mm, I had to use a Springer Precision P320 X5 Burris, Docter, Venom adapter plate to line it up with the slide channel. I ran the Vortex Venom in the rain, sand, red mud, and blazing sun. As stated above, I mounted and tested the Vortex Venom Red Dot on a DSP Armory Minuteman DSP-15, Diamondback DB-15, IO XB Bullpup Shotgun, and a SIG Sauer P320 X-Five. In my case, when using a picatinny based firearm, I mounted it to an American Defense Manufacturing Quick Release Accessory Mount so that I could move it from one to another quickly. ![]() The standard picatinny mount system included bolts right up to whatever you have in mind. Installing the Vortex Venom 3 MOA Red Dot is intuitive and simple. So, let’s jump right into it and let you know how it went. I ran the Vortex Venom 3 MOA Red Dot in many configurations, across many firearms, and in many different environmental conditions. When I opened the box for the Vortex Venom 3 MOA Red Dot, my first thought was, “that’ll never hold up to my punishment!” Well, I am able to say with humility that I was wrong. The Vortex Venom Red Dot served admirably mounted on my Diamondback DB-15 during a 600 round course of fire.
